Pride Month

It’s Pride Month and I thought it would be a good time to tell you why I, a cishet Black woman, read LGBTQIA+ books.
- Why shouldn’t I?
- Because it’s good literature.
- Because queer stories matter.
- It seems I only learn the queer history when I read books by LGBTQIA+ people. I read so I can know.
- So I can become a caring, empathetic, ally.
Why do you read with Pride?
