Young people don’t need to settle into feelings of doom, despondency, or powerlessness, and they don’t need to settle for anything less that what they believe in for this country.
Learning to navigate these corners of the world are an important part of personal liberation.

We need more books for that center Black teens and Black girls that mare readers chuckle, laugh out loud, or even groan at the corniness.
Through these books, readers will engage with real and imagined stories about the power of music to create change in us and around us.
